San Francisco Bay Area SCUBA lessons featuring PADI diver educational programs

Have fun while gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence to assist another diver in need.  As a PADI Rescue Diver, you will be prepared for all types of diving emergencies, and learn how, in many instances, to avoid them entirely.

Meet at the dive shop for one evening classroom session, and then spend two full afternoons at the ocean the following weekend.

Prerequisite:
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, or equivalent.
  • PADI Emergency First Response certification, or equivalent.
Note: An Emergency First Response course will be scheduled along with each rescue class.

When: Every two or three months, depending on demand.

Where: Monterey

Book Needed: PADI Rescue Diver Manual and workslate.  Please complete the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter -- you will need to turn these in to your instructor, along with 2 passport-size photos, at your classroom session.

Equipment Needed: Personal snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves).  SCUBA diving gear (6.5mm or thicker wetsuit, hood, weight belt, 2 tanks, BCD, and regulator with alternate air source, depth gauge, compass, and bottom timer or dive watch).  Note: We have all of the necessary SCUBA gear available to rent.

Also Needed:
  • 2 passport-size photos
  • safety whistle

Please call the store for upcoming class dates.
