PADI EMERGENCY OXYGEN PROVIDER
Who can take this course?
There are no prerequisites, age restrictions or water sessions required for this course – it’s open to everyone. Scuba divers, snorkelers and anyone who is around divers – boat crew, lifeguards, etc. – will benefit from having this training.
This class will give you the knowledge to safely administer oxygen and learn about care for the cylinders.
What will I learn in this class?
You will learn about administering oxygen in multiple ways, the different grades, and how to properly monitor those in need. We will give you the skills needed to be confident if an incident should ever arise. You will learn to use a pocket mask and all the required equipment needed to safely administer the treatment.
Some divers enjoy the class so much that they end up investing in their own oxygen safety kit.
At Harbor Dive, we typically integrate this course with our Rescue Diver class so that we can ensure you are the most well rounded safety expert that you can be.
How long is the class?
We always move at your own individual pace! This class typically takes students between 1-2 hours to fully engage and develop the skills needed to boost their confidence.
This course is currently taught from the PADI Specialty manual.
